Perfect poached eggs, easy cleanup and versatile too,December 1, 2009 ByLivin’ Life “Anita” (New Hampshire) –This review is from: Cuisinart EEP-6 Electric Nonstick Egg Poacher, Stainless Steel (Kitchen)This Cuisinart is the best egg poacher! We’ve tried others that did not work well, but this one delivers–even cooking, easy cleanup, and convenience of cooking up to six eggs at once. Also, you can cook other things in it by removing the poacher tray, and use it as a food warmer when you entertain.
Tips for great poached eggs: We found that using a smear of butter in each cup works better than spray canola oil, which tended to create bubbles in the whites. We heat the water to just above boiling point, approximately 215 degrees, then add the buttered tray with eggs and cook for about six minutes until the white is mostly set, checking frequently. For easiest cleanup, the cooled cups are wiped clean with a paper towel before being put in water.
Try the poached eggs over smoked salmon with dill sauce and savory scones, or over spicy cheese enchiladas, or fresh spinach sauteed in Italian butter with goat cheese and potato pancakes. Yum! Great comfort food. We look forward to trying the included recipe for savory Parmesan bread pudding, too. Have fun experimenting with your own concoctions–

Great product!,
This is my first egg poacher. After looking at user reviews for other brands, I selected this one. Cuisinart is my favorite brand of small kitchen appliances, so I knew this would be a quality product.
Like I said, it’s my first poacher so I didn’t know how to use one prior to buying this one. The instructions say to poach @ 200 degrees for 25-30 minutes, but I don’t have that kind of patience. It goes up to 450 degrees, so I settled on 300 degrees. Let the water get to a rolling boil, (only takes a few minutes), and cook for 7-8 minutes for a perfect poached egg. It makes up to 6 eggs at once. Make sure to use Pam/cooking spray and the eggs will slide right out. Cleanup is quick and easy.
I would recommend it over any other, not only for the name but for the great product.
